Mourvèdre is a deep, rustic wine that originated in Spain, and you may also know it as Monastrell or Mataro. It’s a thick skinned grape that requires hot, sunny conditions to fully ripen, and grows wonderfully here on the South Coast. 🌞 It’s perhaps most well known as the “M” in the famous GSMs of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, but the grape makes fabulous single-varietal wine around the world as well!
